The car idle motor is generally a component that was only provided for old cars, and the idle speed motor is also called the idled step motor. It is a component of the vehicle's engine idling. When idling, the sectional area of the idling airway is changed according to the temperature of the engine and the load size so that the engine has the best idling speed under different conditions. For example, when the air conditioning is turned on, the idle motor will raise the engine's inlet volume to keep the vehicle's idle speed steady.
The idling motor is broken and usually has the following failure symptoms.
The vehicle cannot start. The vehicle needs to touch the accelerator pedal to start. It is usually caused by damage to the idle speed motor, which is turned off, and air cannot enter the interior of the inlet manifold. Therefore, it cannot be started.
After the vehicle starts, the engine automatically stops, which is usually also a fault resulting from the damage to the idling motor.
After the vehicle starts, the idle speed shakes and the idling motor becomes unstable, causing the vehicle's idle rate to be unstable, usually because the idler motor accumulates carbon.
An idle motor is generally used, and the engine's throttle is usually mechanical, which is called a lasso-type throttle. This type of throttle will be installed on the accelerator pedal to control the opening of the throttle door. The use of mechanical lasso-style throttle doors generally uses an idling motor.
The engine idle is directly controlled by the engine computer. There will be a motor inside the electronic throttling door.
A fuel rack position sensor is installed on the electronic gas pedal. When the driver steps on the gas pedal, the sensor signal will be received by the engine control unit, and then send a signal to the throttle. The throttle will adjust the throttle opening according to the signal sent by the engine control unit. This achieves the purpose of the gas being stepped on.
We also need to maintain and replace idle motors when it dirty or faulty. Do not underestimate the power and function of an idle motor.
