The mechanism of adjusting idle motor.

The idle motor's principle is as follows: because the throttle valve is completely closed in the idle state, there is a bypass air channel nestled to the throttle to provide air for the engine in the idle state. The idle motor controls the engine's air intake in the idle state by adjusting the air flow in the bypass air channel, thereby controlling the idle speed.
Why use an idling motor instead of a regular motor? Because the idling motor is a stepper motor, which is controlled by a pulse signal. Each pulse signal rotates the motor by the corresponding angle, which can be precisely controlled by the car’s computer.
How to adjust:
At the front end of the idle motor, there is a miniature threaded lead screw. The rotation of the motor converts the rotation into a forward and backward movement through the threaded lead screw. Then we can adjust it by turning the lead screw.
The specific operation:
First, turn the plug clockwise until it cannot be turned any further. Then, turn it counterclockwise for 3-3.5 turns. At this point, the position is almost proper. Then install the idle motor in the car, and turn it to the ON position, at this time, the vehicle computer will automatically adjust the idle motor. It will take about 10 seconds to start the vehicle. If the idle is normal means that the adjustment is in place. If the idle is high, it means that the air intake is large, it needs to be removed and turned counterclockwise by 0.5-1 turn. Then repeat the above actions. If the idle is too slow or cannot be started, the air intake does not meet the requirements, you need to turn the plug clockwise by 0.5-1 turn.
In fact, the idling motor is very difficult to break, but sometimes the impurities in the side air chamber are too much, which leads to the head opening and closing not being in place, which will lead to errors over time, and then lead to abnormal idling. At this time, you only need to clean the side air chamber and adjust the head. Of course, it is possible for the idling motor to be damaged. If the idling motor is damaged, the most direct manifestation is that the vehicle does not idle, and if you don't press the accelerator, it will immediately shut off.
