How does the idle motor work? As an important control element of the automobile engine.

The idling motor is mounted on the flow valve body and is precisely controlled by the engine controller to maintain the engine's idling speed. When the engine's speed deviates from the set idle speed, the throttle valve is automatically adjusted to ensure that the engine operates steadily.
At the same time, the idling motor is also responsible for controlling the amount of air entering the inlet manifold, which is mechanically adjusted by the coil of the acceleration pedal. The throttle body has a side airway that provides necessary air when the engine is idle and when the throttle is closed.
The shaft of the idling motor is inserted into the side airway, and the air flow is controlled by a fine adjustment. The engine controller receives input signals from various sensors and, according to these signals, moves the hubs of the idling motor to regulate the air flow within the bypass airway and control the engine idling speed.
When the ignition key moves to the open position, the idling motor begins to work. This switch signal is input to the ECU (Engine Control Unit), enabling the ECU to sense if the engine is idle. At the same time, the instant position of the idle motor is fed back to the ECU via the fuel rack position sensor to ensure accurate control.
The engine's idle speed depends entirely on the control of the idle motor. During the operation of the engine, when the car’s owner releases the accelerator pedal, the engine will go to idle state. At this time, the engine's speed is the idle speed. The idling motor ensures that the engine's idling speed is maintained at its best by fine-tuning the amount of air entering.
However, if there is too much dust in the air, dirt may accumulate in the valve cores and valves of the idling motor. When this dirt accumulates to a certain degree, it will have an impact on the performance of the engine, possibly causing low idle speed, unstable idle rate, or even stopping the engine during driving.
